costumes!

Dear Kindergarten Families,

With our Nativity Program rapidly approaching, we want to thank you for all your help practicing lines! The kids are doing great! Thank you, too for your patience and beautiful costumes!

If your child is wearing tights, a sweat suit or article of clothing that doesn't slip on easily for the program, they can keep that at home and wear it to school on the days of the play. We think that will make life easier for all of us!! Please remember, that we are performing on both Wednesday, December 17th AND Thursday, December 18th so your child should wear the costume both days. Angels or long gown type of costumes, however, will change in school. We don't think it's safe to wear that all day!

Reminder: Costumes are due Friday! Please write your child's name and what type of costume ( cow, dog, etc.) on the bag.

Thank You! Happy Holidays!

Dear Kindergarten Families,

The kindergarten children are doing such a fabulous job with the Nativity Play! It truly is the highlight of the Christmas season. Thank you for the beautiful costumes! If you have not yet sent your costume, please send it as soon as possible.

Please be aware that older siblings will not be allowed to leave class to attend the parent performance of the play on Wednesday. The entire school will see the play together as a school community on Thursday. We hope you can understand that this policy is necessary to eliminate the disruption caused to other classes.

We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday! Charge those camera batteries!

Happy Holidays!

Kindergarten Report Cards

| No TrackBacks

Dear Parent,
Since this is your child's first report card, we would like to fill you in on a few things.

1. The report card is yours to keep! However, we do need you to sign and return the report card envelope TOMORROW.
2. The boys and girls have been working so hard in school and they ALL have received wonderful report cards! If your child has received a 1 in one or more areas, PLEASE know that this is NOT a bad grade, but a grade that tells us this is an area we need to work on. We will discuss some ways in which we can improve these areas at conferences.
3. In the Reading Readiness area, the children have only been graded on the letters that have been covered so far, as will be the case for future marking periods.

Thanks for taking the time to look over your child's report cards and discussing it with them. They should be very proud of themselves - we certainly are!

Sincerely,
The Kindergarten Teachers
